Regular price $11.97 $0.00

Product Description

Our U.S. Thompson SMG Replica Dummy Magazines are crafted for historical accuracy and long-term durability. Each magazine is molded from solid black plastic resin to match the look and scale of the original 20-, 30- and 50-round drum magazines. Period-correct stampings are reproduced precisely: the 20-round reads “Auto Ordnance Corp”, the 30-round reads “Seymour Products Co.”, and the drums bear the “Magazine Type L Thompson Submachine Gun” stamping and logo used on 1928-type Thompsons.

Finished to resemble the original black (blued) metal, these replicas present authentically in ammo pouches, display cases, costumes, and film/set work. They’re robust enough for repeated handling while remaining safe and legal where original magazines cannot be used.

Fit note: these magazines will usually seat in a real Thompson SMG; minor sanding or trimming of the plastic may be required to lock into older magazines wells or into Denix replica Thompsons. They were designed for appearance and display first—use caution if attempting to fit into a functioning firearm.

Historical Background

The Thompson Submachine Gun was developed by General John T. Thompson in 1918 to fire the .45 ACP cartridge. Officially adopted by the U.S. military in 1938, it served extensively throughout World War II and in later conflicts. During World War II alone, more than 1.5 million military Thompson submachine guns were produced. It holds the distinction of being the first firearm ever designated as a “submachine gun.”
