Replica Large 30-06 M2 Ball Rnd. for J.H. Keeney & Co BAR Demonstration Rifle

Product Description

Replica Dummy Ammo is for this demonstration rifle and is solid plastic copied from one of the plastic rounds for this display gun.  It has a brass metallic finish to give it an authentic appearance. The round is 6.5" tall and 1" wide at the base and will fit into the over-sized detachable magazine that come with these displays.  Can be used for other displays and education on the 30-06 M2 round too.  These are a cool piece of reenactment gear and history where the real thing is no longer available.

The M2 Ball round is standard, but other variants are available upon request.

Some History

Developed by the Special Devices Center of the Office of Naval Research and manufactured by J.H. Keeney & Cop of Chicago, it was a 95 inch long over-sized demonstration model of the 1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle. Used in classroom settings, the model demonstrates the internal parts of the rifle, including the open bolt operation. These are a rare piece of BAR history to see and even own.
